(Creative Territory) MTC is an initiative by Design Week Mexico with joint efforts by local designers interested in promoting and exhibiting contemporary Mexican design. Through each design we express our dedication to creative processes, materials and production methods. Together we share a passion for mixing global innovation with high quality traditional craft as key part of our philosophy.
MTC brings together for Wanted Design a perfect blend of well-established and up-and-coming talent from designers, architects, artists and artisans studios by gathering their ideas on a design that is profoundly shaped by its origins and enhanced by its role in the present day.
AD HOC
We believe in material’s natural beauty, that’s why we dedicate to design spaces and create pieces, which reflect Mexico’s artisan legacy highlighting materials and manual processes in every product.
DEJATE QUERER
Déjate Querer values all handmade objects and ancient technics and use it as a source for their creative process, thats why each rug is made by hand, assembled or knitted.
JUSKANI ALONSO
A multidisciplinary studio that seeks to represent Mexican cultural heritage through design with a global overview. It merges artisan technique, local materials with contemporary design and processes.
LAGOS DEL MUNDO
A brand of basic objects that proposes a simple life style, inspired in the primitive artifacts where the functional and decorative aspects are combined. Our products put emphasis on shape, quality and character of materials, proposing a balance between the primary aspects and the current context of life.
LA METROPOLITANA
A dynamic entity comprised of a multidisciplinary team focused on the generation, management, analysis and realization of design and architecture. Innovation and understanding of trends and materials are the guiding principles of our practice.
MOB
Design studio that focuses on the development of furniture and interior design projects. We seek to externalize the aesthetic qualities of everyday life.
mob's last collection started as a manifesto to produce products manufactured with sustainable processes and materials.
STUDIO ORFEO
Born from a collision of ideologies and merging of the traditional with the contemporary, technical and artisanal, geometric and organic, Studio Orfeo Quagliata offers a distinctive consistency of design and fine craft in glass.
PAUL ROCO
Workshop dedicated to the design and manufacturing of furniture with a specialty in woodwork. Its production combines functionality and aesthetics in large-scale furniture, blending classic techniques with modern tools.
TALLER R
Design Atelier with a great passion for craftsmanship. Form, dimensions, materials and high quality labor are the elements that shape us as tailors of excellent furniture and accessories that reflect the craftsmanship savoir fair. We are brand-less ideas, ideas with a soul.
AMANDINA
One of a kind jewels born from the fusion of artisanal handmade filigree and the ground-breaking vision of two young designers looking to redefine the concept of beauty in jewelry.
KALOSOMA
Our designs are passed by the hands of over 100 Mexican artisans who apply their ancient traditional techniques in each piece of jewelry they make. These ancient skills are merged with modern design to be part of Kalosoma's unique collection.
DAVID POMPA
Combining tradition and innovation with our passion for high quality inspires our lighting and furniture. To rethink and reinvent Mexican artisanry is the concept for all our collections.
HILANDO MEXICO
A social and artistic project filled with passion; it fuses the artistic richness of our Mexican roots with the trends of the world. Women from the town of Ichmul, Yucatán embroider unique pieces, which combine the cultural heritage of the work of Mexican artisans with its dazzling ornaments and colors with modern aesthetics.
LEGORRETA HERNANDEZ
We seek to help accelerate social development in Mexico through integrated programs with the aim of breaking the intergenerational cycle of poverty experienced by marginalized communities especially the state of Yucatan.

Inspired by day-to-day experiences , Peca creates pieces that translate the aesthetic richness of nature into designs with subtle, organic lines. By mixing industrial and handcrafted processes Peca creates pieces that are both refined and moving: objects with spirit and dialogue with their surroundings.

With an 'open source' philosophy, we seek to reach the objective of enriching and strengthening the industry of Mexican design.
TRIBUTO
"tributo” is an offering to the dynamic processes of exchange between creative activities. Emphasizing the dialogue process arising from the displacements, we generate traces that result into objects.
AUREA
Based in south-east Mexico we collaborate with main craftsmen of the State of Yucatan. The rescue and the tradition govern the design of new handcrafted objects, with the firm intention of being of benefit and promoting the cultural Mayan identity.

A selection of work that examines, promotes and updates the perspective of present day Mexican design, it's paradigms and our commitment in celebrating local creativity.
Mexico is a country full of cultural riches. However, little is known of contemporary Mexican design around the world. MTC seeks to take Mexican design around the world.
Each one of the designers involved share the same design philosophy as well as their dedication and commitment to high end products with traditional craft.
TC seeks to establish itself as an international showcase of Mexican design where we exhibit and promote the work of emerging designers.
